From the kitchen of Dawn Corbin
Ingredients
10 c. sugar
10 c. water
5 c. vinegar
5 tsp. turmeric
5 tsp. alum
For each pint
1 clove garlic
½ tsp. salt
2 dill heads or
2 tsp. dill seed and 2 tsp. dill weed
Directions
Prepare brine - bring to boil. Meanwhile sterilize jars put garlic, salt, and dill in the bottom of jars. Pack cucumbers firmly, pour brine over all. Process in hot water bath for 5 minutes.
