Ingredients
4 cans pinto or navy beans, drain off liquid but reserve
1/2 cup onion, chopped and sauteed to brown
1/4 lb. ham or ham bone w/ meat
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. brown sugar or molasses
4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
1/8 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp baking soda
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F. Partially drain beans (reserve liquid), in a large bowl mix with the rest of the ingredients till well blended. Pour into baking dish cover & Bake for 2 to 3 hours checking often toward the end. If getting to dry add some of the reserved bean liquid.
