+ | Cook the onion in bacon grease with, rosemary, salt, and pepper until its translucent. Chop up the one bacon slice into small bits and cook it down until it's well rendered. Add a splash of balsamic (about 1 Tbsp.) and more salt and pepper to taste. Add more bacon grease to help it coat the beans if the bacon was lean. Toss in precooked green beans (leftover, frozen beans are what I used) and cook low until the beans are heated through. Serve hot. |

bacon grease
Onion
1 bacon slice, chopped
Balsamic vinegar
Rosemary, dried and crushed (I used my mortar & pestle)
Pepper
Salt
Green beans (about 2 cups)
Cook the onion in bacon grease with, rosemary, salt, and pepper until its translucent. Chop up the one bacon slice into small bits and cook it down until it's well rendered. Add a splash of balsamic (about 1 Tbsp.) and more salt and pepper to taste. Add more bacon grease to help it coat the beans if the bacon was lean. Toss in precooked green beans (leftover, frozen beans are what I used) and cook low until the beans are heated through. Serve hot.
