1.5 lb of Stew meat cut small
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 tsp. chopped garlic
1 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp. beef bouillon (level tsp)
2 qt. water - 2 Tbsp gravy master
3 c. potato cut into small pieces
4 c. frozen mixed vegetables
(or 4 c. your choice frozen veg.)
gravy mix, or flour to thicken
Depending on how thick you want it 4-8 Tbsp. flour
or 4 pkg. gravy mix
Cut beef into 2 inch cubes, toss in flour, and brown in bacon grease or shortening over medium high heat. Add chopped onion and garlic to meat.
In large pot bring water to boil with bouillon and Worcestershire sauce. Add meat and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender. When meat is tender add potatoes and vegetables. Cook additional 10 minutes, add thickener, stir, cook over low heat stirring constantly until gravy thickens.
Note: gravy mix has salt added, the more gravy mix you add the saltier it gets.
